HealthLifeMental HealthMindfit Life Coaching Living Fully in the Time We Have Left – MY QTR

December 16, 2024by Sharon Castle0

This year has been the year where I heard and adopted the phrase “MY QTR” – My quality time remaining.

There comes a moment in life when we realize the clock is ticking ⏰- not in a way that feels rushed or urgent, but in a way that whispers of the preciousness of the time we have remaining. It’s a sobering and clarifying truth: life is finite. And in that realization lies a profound opportunity to live with greater intention, vitality, and joy 🤸

For me, this understanding has awakened a desire to embrace every moment with love, peace, and contentment, while also staying alive to the adventure of life. I want to work with purpose, live with vitality, and say yes to experiences that light me up inside. This isn’t about chasing endless goals or filling my days with busyness—it’s about creating a life that feels fulfilling, vibrant, and deeply aligned with my spirit.

The Gift of Presence

When you know your time is finite, each moment becomes a gift. You begin to savor the quality of your time, rather than simply measuring its quantity. Presence becomes the anchor that allows you to fully experience life’s beauty—whether it’s a heartfelt conversation, a new adventure, or simply the quiet peace of sitting with yourself.

This kind of presence doesn’t come from forcing yourself to slow down or trying to control your life. It arises naturally when you let go of the distractions and mental clutter that pull you away from the here and now.

Staying Vital and Alive

Living a fulfilling life doesn’t mean retreating from the world—it means engaging with it more deeply. It’s about finding work that excites you, nurturing relationships that matter, and pursuing passions that make you feel alive.

Adventure, in this sense, isn’t just about travel or daring feats (though it can be!). It’s about saying yes to the things that stretch your spirit, challenge your comfort zone, and remind you of the joy of being alive. This year was challenging yet interesting and transformative.  Next year, I’ve chosen to live with an adventurous spirit while still building my business and loving my life.  I don’t know what’s around the corner but I do know that I intend to fall more deeply in love with life!

As Phil Stutz said so powerfully, “Don’t let the tame ones tell you how to live.” These words are a bold reminder to break free from societal norms and expectations that might box you in. Your life is yours to live, and the adventure is yours to define.

A Life of Fulfillment and Peace

Fulfillment isn’t about checking off a list of accomplishments. It’s about aligning with what truly matters to you—whether that’s love, creativity, connection, or service. Peace doesn’t come from avoiding challenges; it comes from trusting that you have the strength and wisdom to navigate them.

When you live from this space of alignment, fulfillment, love, peace, and contentment are no longer things you chase—they become your natural state of being.

Final Thoughts

The time we have left is not a limitation; it’s an invitation. It’s an opportunity to create a life that feels meaningful, vibrant, and full of love.

So I ask you:

  • What would you do differently if you knew your time was precious?
  • What step could you take today to bring more fulfillment, love, and adventure into your life?

Don’t just let these questions sit in your mind—take action. Share your thoughts in the comments or message me directly. I’d love to hear how you’re choosing to live fully and embrace the time you have.

As we enter this festive season, may it be a time of reflection, connection, and joy. Let the holidays remind us of the love and beauty surrounding us and inspire us to carry that spirit into the new year. Here’s to living fully, loving deeply, and stepping into 2025 with a heart full of adventure and gratitude.

Wishing you a holiday season filled with peace, fulfillment, and the magic of the present moment.
